He won't manage to clean and jerk a world record though.
But in the 4 following years, he'll break every possible records and set the very first 265kg clean and jerk, and become the second best clean and jerker of all time
He will miss the 1984 Olympics because of the soviet boycott, and will get banned in 1985. He is the best weightlifter to never win the olympics.
