Team Uzbekistan has long been one of the best, most complete team in the world.

First starting to become a superpower of the weightlifting world in the 2010s with the rise of its heavyweights (Namely Ruslan Nurudinov, 2016 Olympic champion at 105kg), the country now places multiple lifters on world podiums every year.

Their heavyweight are by far their best lifters though, with an Uzbek lifter steppin on the podium of the last 4 consecutive Olympic Games.
